Research That Undergirds
Our Practice
Introduction
For years, crowdsourcing (aka crowd-based innovation) has been successfully used in the Corporate Sector to drive innovation and R&D efforts.
Working in partnership with and guided by Dr. Ann Majchrzak, Professor Emeritus of Data Sciences and Operations at USC’s Marshall School of Business, InnovateK12 has successfully applied the successful crowdsourcing practices of the Corporate Sector to K12 Education. Leveraging Dr. Majchrzak’s groundbreaking and extensive research, we work with school districts to unlock the collective wisdom and expertise of stakeholders in the education sector by provoking and leveraging the meaningful and critical sharing of knowledge.
Dr. Majchrzak, is also author of the authoritative title, Unleashing the Crowd, a research-based work chronicling how and why organizations can and should use the “wisdom of their crowds” (constituents, stakeholders, employees, customers) to support creative, constructive, and results-driven engagement to solve challenging and vexing problems with innovative solutions.
By Innovative Solutions, we mean solutions that are not only novel to the sponsoring organization , but also implementable and useful.
