About
Planning For Our Future!
All public schools in Ohio are required to have a preschool program for students ages 3-5 as a means to provide federally mandated special education/disability services. Public preschool classrooms provide high-quality preschool experiences for students with and without disabilities. There is a monthly tuition fee for preschool, which is adjusted or waived for those who are eligible.
Yellow Springs Schools currently utilize services from Greene County ESC to provide preschool programming which is open to Yellow Springs and Cedar Cliff children. The preschool is located at Friends Care Senior Center in Yellow Springs.
As part of Yellow Springs Schools' current facilities project, Yellow Springs Schools will have preschool classrooms at Mills Lawn Elementary beginning the 2026-2027 school year. The Yellow Springs public preschool program will be 4 days a week. There will be a focus on academic readiness skills for students ages four and five.
